- Has specialized expertise in construction communications, contracts, and specifications.
- Has created award winning master specifications systems for numerous design firms and institutions.
- Served as Chair of CSI's BIM Steering Committee and is a member of NIBS' National BIM Standard Committee.
- In 1978 was one of the first individuals to take the examination for, and be certified by CSI, as a Construction Specifier (CCS).
- As West Region CSI Education Chair, created the 1998 Construction Sciences Forum for the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The event received the 1999 CSI Education Commendation and is now an annual event for practitioners, educators and students in the West Region.
- Is a past national president of Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP).
